ADS-B and SDRPlay

I just got an SDRPlay and wondering if I can get ADS_B data on it using some software.

I have been using FlightRadar24.com and like it .. but is there any advantage to being able to pick things up on my own.

You can try downloading 1090dump I think its called? Or you can go to the plane plotter website and find some others. That's a good start.

Are you familiar with the Raspberry Pi? This will be the easiest way for you to get started with ADS-B tracking. Having loads of fun feeding Flightaware and feeding to a coop site that lets you see unfiltered flight info. Fun stuff. It also feeds my virtual radar server software.

Thanks .. I am not quite there yet but am aware of the Rasperry Pi thing.

I do not have the best antenna setup .. and am currently using my Icom R7000. It seems to be the best for aircraft monitoring but I want to get into ADS-B as well in due time.

Resurrecting this old thread I know but has anyone got the SDRPlay up and running with the current version of PiAware? I'm able to boot the RasPi and it connects to the site, but it's not seeing the radio...
