Is this the same article that triggered the news media hype about "hacking" airplanes?

Their methodology is flawed. Being able to interfere with a device that you have hardwired to yourself in your own lab is far from being able to interfere with a real-world system.

No, I read the article about hacking planes, they were able to use the in-flight wifi to manipulate the autopilot controls, it was different and more complex. I'll see if I can dig up that article.

It is important to note even with the android hack, it was only theoretical using training systems.
