I maintain a public safety feed, so I'm a premium subscriber.

Every time I try to listen to Archived audio, I only am offered the basic player with the black screen and the single straight line.

Where can I find the toggle to enable the Advanced player which graphically depicts the silent periods and active periods? I have tried all three browsers- Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, all with the same issue. Thanks, KM6U

OK -- I finally figured it out.

The Advanced Archive Player ONLY appears as an option after downloading the stream file IF you have selected as your player the "HTML5 Web Player!"

By default, the option that appears initially is the ... "Advanced Web Player $$" but you will NOT be offered the advanced player option if you've selected this!

Two screenshots below depict the Player Selection dropdown menu; the second one is correct (at least on my Windows PC using any browser):

That says “advanced web player” - not “advanced archive player”

which are you having the problem with?

Well, now it's back to square one. Every time I try to download an archived stream, the old-style player with the black background comes up, and no option to choose the Advanced Player is offered.

I tried cache clearing, logging out and back in, and tried all three windows 10 web browsers.

And I set the Player selection to each of the three options - same result. It worked once for me earlier today, so I posted what I thought was the "fix."

It worked for me once - as you can see in the second screenshot below. Now, all I get is the basic player that pops up and looks like this:

One time- one time only -- I got to select the Advanced Player and grabbed this screenshot as proof:

Do not click the black “download” icon as you are doing in the video. Instead, click elsewhere and you will be presented with the screen featuring the “Use Advanced Archive Player” button.
@Checkerboard post #8 by me told you to click on the time to get access, as @IcomIcR20 has said above you are clicking on the download arrow which opens the archive for you to download, stop clicking the black download arrow and this should solve your issue.

Thanks to both of you - the mystery is solved! I clicked on the start time of the archive file, rather than on its download arrow, and lo and behold - the Advanced Player appears!
