Advice wanted on PSR600 and I-call

Hi all, I'm thinking of going in for an APCO 25 scanner coz my local PD/FD is soon shifting to that. In fact, trials are already on. Can anyone advise me on choosing a good scanner? I am planning on getting the PSR600 for the APCO25 system and will stick to my old and tested Pro97 for the local EDACs and Motorola nets. Any tips/comments? Also, can anyone tell me what 'I-call' is? Apparently the psr600 can track this too. Thanx, Amol. 73s

I-Calls are car to car (or dispatch to car) conversations that are directed to a specific unit. Other units in a talk group cannot hear the conversation.

Many I-Calls are for routine, mundane tasks: scheduling, lunch orders, etc.
