Does anybody here have any experience with either Aruba or Aerohive? Our company needs a wireless infrastructure with about 120 AP's. We already got a quote from them and Aruba is expensive compared to Aerohive. We've also heard lots of good things about Aerohive's controller-less. We're leaning towards Aerohive since it's cheaper and has better reviews but we don't want to tick Aruba off the list yet.

Any advice please? Thank you.

Only have experience with Aerohive. We got a demo box in a few years ago (don't remember the model). Once you get your login to configure your box and get it plugged up, it's pretty easy to configure. We also had one of those Verizon hotspot USB dongles that at first wouldn't work due to no driver in the version of OS, however, after installing the newest (at the time), and configuring the Aerohive and dongle correctly, all we have to do to get a secure mobile AP (used at trade shows) is plug the dongle in and plug in power. Give the Aerohive box 5 minutes or so to boot up and there ya go!

I am not really familiar with these technicalities but I have read an evaluation of Aruba and Aerohive and the result was in favor of Aerohive. Evaluation states that Aerohive had an easier setup and it has a no controller solution which is their trademark.

You see! More good reviews for Aerohive lol Anyway, we've proceeded and requested a trial. It'll start Monday. Hope it meets our expectations.

Glad I was able to help lol and I'm glad that you're finally taking the first step towards your company's planned acquisition.
