Interesting site strong here in Edmonton on CC 772.0312. Site 4802. Is a frequency that was supposed to be Evergreen. Could that be one of the simulcast frequencies?

48 was the number assigned to Strathcona.. Could be. Got any other freqs, neighbours, or SID/WACN?

As for site 6, I don't have anything on that. 5 is Bear Hills and 8 is Bluffton. I'll see if there's anything I can dig up.

System Id 05A and WACN 660C5. Should have Unitrunker up and running in the next few days.

I was getting some decent reception tonight from sites around Calgary too... was able to expand my UT setup so that I had 2 sticks running 4 VCOs each. Eight sites being monitored simultaneously! I'm tempted to get something with a wider bandwidth so I don't get screwed when the CCs rotate so they're out of range of one another (2 MHz bandwidth on the sticks I use).

Ok, so. "Site 48". Is it 048-002 on UT, EFR? If so I will add it to the spreadsheet/map as being in Edmonton... wouldn't mind if mobile users would try going to the tower sites, or directing your antennas towards them if you have directionals, and figure out where the signal's coming from, and if it's simulcast or just one site right now.

"Site 06". Peers/neighbors would be extremely helpful here in triangulating where this site is. All frequencies and, again, DF'ing if possible, would also be useful.

Ok, I'll deal with 48 in the morning.

For 6, I'm going to try something I did in Newfoundland when sleuthing out their system. The "average" of the lat/long of those neighbor sites, theoretically, points to the middle of the cluster of neighbors, and has a decent chance of being where 6 is. This worked pretty reliably for me in Newfoundland, to discover new sites.

The average of those four sites is 52.761805,-113.838653, which iiiiiis: halfway between Ponoka 2 and Crestomere. Maybe Ponoka 2 has been renumbered. Or maybe there's a new site in that neighborhood somewhere.

I didn't pay attention to the site frequencies at the time as Jay was asking about peers however looking at the site in UT here are the frequencies it noted for site 6:

769.41325
769.80625
773.59375
774.68125

Yup, I monitored it earlier. Kind of amusing - one of their test radios appeared to be roaming off of Spy Hill (or whatever site they're on) and onto FL, as it was getting frequent denial messages for joining a testing talkgroup in the 900 range.

I'm putting considerable thought towards the 411xxxx/401xxxx RID group and 900/1000 TG range being AHS EMS, perhaps for the Suburban Rural zone around YYC.

OK Alix is 155 so does that mean Ponoka 2 will be 006? I was getting a CC from Site 006 this morning.

It might be, does anyone have a lat/lon for Ponoka 2 or is it just the triangulated/calculated location? Site 006 was really strong passing Ponoka today. I might have more time next week to search it out, when I'm back in the area.

I found the lat/lon on Jay's google map. I can check this out next week.

Ponoka 2 was originally going to be numbered 05B-151 according to my data. I'm suspecting it is now 05A-006.

The lat/long shown on the map for all sites should be accurate. The only exceptions are the new Edmonton Simulcast site which I have put in downtown, and the "Site 006" that we don't know what it is yet. Those are marked with yellow question marks on the map instead of red teardrop icons.
