A lot of EDACS users treat ProVoice as encryption. Coincidentally, many EDACS users behave as if they have a duty to hide their activities from their customers.

That's too funny, encryption on AFRRCS but not local... makes sense to me in a EMS kinda way...
Console patches are analogue audio. It requires encryption on the end points. If the end point doesn't support encryption then it will be in the clear regardless that the other end point has encryption.

Does anyone know if CBSA at the YYC and YEG airports are going to come on to this system? Right now they all use iDEN. For that matter so do Sheriffs at least in the Calgary area for prisoner transport.

I hope as these type of questions are being asked and mostly answered the
RRDB is being updated accordingly

That's why I'm asking, for example Court services and Sheriffs in YYC either use the CMRN or have an iDEN patch, I'm asking to see if we need to update that or if we should be expecting a bunch of TGID's to come on line as Sheriffs are overseen by the SolGen who paid for AFRACS in the first place.

Also got word through a Paramedic on car the other day, every EMS radio is programmed the same and each area has a bank of 16 channels for their area (Dispatch, Followup, Patch to hospitals...) I'm 99% sure they are listed in the RRDB as the "AHS TRAINING" ones, but more should be coming live...

Keep your unitrunkers open so we can cluster some of them together.

So according to the pages for CYYC and CYEG the have UHF radios for the vehicles and operations outside of the main customs area (for example private planes coming in to the luxury hangers)

until we can confirm they are 100% off the air. I'm going to keep them in the database.

There is still a morse code identifier on the YEG 410 repeater.

So far we know that AHS channels 1013, 1014, 1016, 1017, and (Channel 11) 1021 are assigned to be used in the Calgary Dispatch area.

Any guesses their bank of 16 channels are 1010-1025? It would fit with the TG assigned in the AHS testing, and line up with channel 11.... any guesses?

I see AFRRCS CET groups 1 through 16 have been removed and replaced with talkgroups 870 through 885. Is this database entry correct? I ask because I have logged transmissions on the original groups.

AFRRCS Tower re-numbering

Noticed when the sites are being re-checked by AFRRCS techs they are using the new numbering method
Looks like the RR site lists need to be updated

The numbering seem to flow together rather than scatter all over the place.

There are site numbers for the P25 network and then site numbers that identify the tower and equipment in the network assets, for lack of a better term. The latter goes from 1 to something like 405, with a gap or two here and there since there are 330-some in use. The scanners will still use the sysid, WACN, RFSS, and site numbers.

I can only enter information into the database that's submitted. If there are changes then let me know

Update?

So this past weekend I've noticed that all of the NW AHSEMS repeater have gone silent. I see UID's showing up on the AFRRCS site in and around Grande Prairie. Does anyone know if AHS has officially gone live with AFRRCS province wide? even the paging channel is silent to all stations. Am receiving UID's and TGID's on...
235 - Grande Prairie
240 - Saskatoon Mtn
238 - Beaverlodge
225 - Demmitt
218 - Wapiti
217 - Debolt
etc...

Are you seeing talk group 931? It appears to be a NCC group in use up there with 411 Id's.

Also if you are able to confirm control channels on sites 235, 240 and 238? If so the database and the map could be updated for your area.
