You would think. Before they started using 755 dispatch originally mentioned to use "305 Sturgeaon Channel" after the patch failed, if it's the same or not I'm not sure.

In my experience the 300s are Corrections groups. What was the full radio ID? 401 has a bunch of different government agencies within it depending on what the digit after 401 is.

I saw 4010308, 4010313, 4010314, 4010315, 4010327.
356 is Corrections and is EYOC 1 (Edmonton Young Offenders Center). They use 40103XX, 4012XXX for bases or consoles and also 4013XXX series, Keep in mind that center has some funky names for units like Athabasca and Wabasa and others. Usually it's the 4012XXX UID's that transmit in the clear.

My thoughts are Transport Sheriffs picked up a young offender at EYOC and drove him or her to Lac La Biche for trial. They may have left one of their radios on EYOC 1 and dragged that activity all the way to Lac La Biche. Once they left town that talk group would not continue to be heard. Or one of the court Sheriff's in Lac La Biche got bored and switched his radio to a group that was active just to hear the activity.

I have tgid 3118, 3119, 3120 that I would love to find channel names. I know it’s Alberta Parks.
I have nothing for those three talk groups but yes Alberta Parks. Here in Edmonton I mainly get the Spruce Grove/Pembina Parks or the Cooking Lake/Blackfoot Parks. Going by memory the AB parks UID's should be in the 4018XXX range.

Just a quick question. How do you get such precise channel names ?
For these three corrections groups I called them what they were called on the old VHF system. EYOC was on VHF DMR and Ft Sask was on VHF Conventional. But sometimes during set up before they are almost all encrypted you hear the techs use the term Testing on EYOC 1. On many two way radios you have only 8 slots in your alfa numeric display so you must be brief. Some portables don't even have alpha numeric displays just a knob with channels numbered 1 to 16. So as an example if that were the case for EYOC they would just use the channel numbers. "Go to Channel 2".
