55th Halsted, attempted car jacking. When victim didn't comply with offenders demands, he threw a caustic substance into the vehicle,then lighting it on fire, burning both victim and his auto. Engine 50 responded to extinguish car and victim..Amb. 49 responded and transported victim to Stroger Hospital, O.F.I. (Office of Fire Investigation) requested by Engine 50 and 4-6-8 responded.
