Hello,
I'm looking for some info on the Aiken Sheriff talkgroups. I've seen all of the ones in the DB but would love to have the full line up along with the TG names in stead of "unknown". I'm hoping someone here has some inside info they could share. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The problem is i'm not sure if the channels are in numerical talk group order. I once worked for a certain local public safety department as a firefighter and ours jumped around, granted we only had six channels and we only used three. If I come across any updates ill post it here.

I don't recall anyone offering any "inside information" for Aiken County. If someone wants to submit anonymously, they can do so through the submission portal.

I'm not sure the value of making sure that channel numbers are accurately reflected in the database, unless the channels are routinely referred on air by those channel numbers. Most scanner listeners just care that our database is as complete as possible, with accurate alpha tags and service tags applied. If the channel numbers of the various channels are referred to by number regularly, then it would seem that it's obvious which channels are which after a few hours/days of monitoring.

I think it's reasonable to assume that all ACSO talkgroups are in the range of 20501-20520, just based on the talkgroups we have identified so far. But to your point, their channel numbering may not go in numeric talkgroup order. And again, I'm not sure that's crucial to know unless the channels are regularly referred to on air by channel number.

They seem to reference the channel number more than the channel name. Especially for channel 3. Also I noticed some the ACSO talkgroups are locked out on Broadcastify unless your an admin. It would be helpful if they weren't so regular users can monitor them.

Might be good to look at the BCFY TOS as to what is allowed to be streamed on regular feeds. If they were on the Calls Platform then I believe the TOS is different for that format. For regular feeds: NO ERT/SWAT/SRT, Tacticals etc for LEA's... ONLY Dispatch and certain interop/mutual aids are allowed. Now if someone wants to do a feed only on ProScan etc.. NOT through BCFY, then stream what you want. Just know the risks of poking the bear, especially SMOKEY....

RT typically stands for Response Team in a law enforcement context. Not sure what the "C" might stand for. Citizens? Civil? Captain?

HLS is probably Homeland Security, but that's a guess.
