I’m considering purchasing this filter to addd a little stability to my BCT15X which I dedicate to civil air. No real intermod issues but looking for any improvement I can make in that band.
Anybody use this that can give me some end user feedback? It’s appreciated.

If your getting a band pass filter you want one with lots of attenuation in the FM broadcast band with the least amount of attenuation in the VHF air band. The AOR filter only has about 6dB attenuation at 104MHz and a whopping 3.5dB loss at 121MHz. To me that is a worthless filter and I don't know how they can sell a piece of junk like that. I suspect most scanner brand filters would be similar or possible worse. I have a couple of military surplus filters with great specs as they came out of actual military aircraft radios and they were cheap like around $30. I also found an elaborate DB Products commercial aircraft filter but they are not common. I just scanned eBay and don't see any of the typical mil surplus VHF air band filters so I instead I would recommend a good FM broadcast trap filter and the best I know of is this one from MiniCircuits. Its a little pricy but well worth it. Connectorized Band Stop Filter, 88-105 MHz | ZBSF-95-N+ | Mini-Circuits

Check out post #10 here which shows the MiniCircuits filter and the others I use here. Which filter for airband?

Pretty sure the BCT15X (and most all Unidens) "bands" negate the need for a FM broadcast filter. Now if you have VHF broadcast TV close you may need to filter that. I have channel 8 and 11 about 12 miles away at 2,000' and megawatt ERP's and it hurts my VHF-hi/airband.

I have ch-8 here in CT about 10-12 miles. So that may need attenuation, but the worse part is I live 3 blocks from a local hospital. My outside díscone is very sensitive. Picks up everything.
