Does anyone monitor Air Evac Lifeteam? I have been monitoring them on the Cushing Tower site 160.065 DCS 072 and for the last month I have not heard a thing on that frequency. Is that tower out of service? Did they switch frequencies? Anyone hearing them okay on the site near you? Thanks...

No guarantees, I don't even live in your state. However, Air Evac has been known to use their itinerant freq in certain areas (but usually don't do so when they have a licensed pair already in service).

ULS License - Industrial/Business Pool, Conventional License - WPYR891 - AIR EVAC LIFETEAM - Frequencies Summary
- 151.505 / 158.400

If they have a licensed frequency pair in your area, I'm surprised they wouldn't be using it. But it doesn't hurt to listen in on this and see if you hear em.

Might also want to check FCC records and look for other surrounding Air Evac bases since they might be using one of those freqs:
- go here: http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSearch/searchLicense.jsp - then click on Advanced Search, then type AIR EVAC in for the name and set the # of records to 100 (instead of 10) and then do a search.

Also, maybe they are still using the frequency you are monitoring but are using a different tone - If you haven't done so already, I'd suggest removing any tone and setting it to search for a tone just in case they are using one different than what you have listed.

Mike

Hearing them on their normal conventional UHF frequencies here in Texas. I've heard the San Antonio Repeater today and heard the Austin Repeater yesterday...

Thanks fellows, I have the old freq on the Cushing tower, the intereant freqs and the OKC tower and still have not heard a thing. I have been listening to them on the Cushing tower for a year no problems and one day after a few weather events the TXs just stopped. Wonder if the tower they are on over there sustained damage from a severe wx event or fire?

I monitor their Elk City tower, and they just got a new 'bird' 999T is the tail. Regulation red white and blue. Were building a new pad for them at our new hospital. Waiting on the FAA...

The DB shows that Air Evac has a talkgroup on OKWIN, Does any one know if this is the case. If so what is the TGID?

The talkgroup on OKWIN was used by the old Hillcrest Airevac in Tulsa from years ago. It is not the same as Life Team.

BTW guys I am still not hearing a thing on the Cushing Tower that I was hearing, the OKC tower, or any of the interant frequencies. I used to hear them daily on the Cushing Tower and still nothing.

Not sure if it has anything to do with it but Air Evac lost a couple of medics and nurses at Cushing. They may not have hired anyone to fill the spaces yet.

That must be it because that site was very busy all hours of the day and now it's slient. I am still not hearing any traffic on the interant freqs or OKC tower. I guess if they get staff back up and ops running normal again it will become active again?

I finally copied these guys on 152.9975 [D032]. AFAIK, I've *never* copied them before and wondered if the listing in the DB was correct. Guess it is.
