Any utility listeners notice an (unconfirmed) emergency landing of a 757 in Beckley, with markings that appear similar to Air Force 2? Much appreciated!

A C-32A (99-0003) was also logged near Woodbridge VA at 1925ft on 8/1/2016 @ 1720 UTC

Another C-32A "SAM44" (09-0015) was logged in the same area approximately 1544 UTC.

There is no one aircraft denoted Air Force 2. Any of the VIP (or other USAF aircraft) are called Air Force 2 if the Vice-President is on board. So saying a plane is marked like AF 2 is in error as there are no such markings. (The same is true about Air Force 1.)

I believe the P and VP use the Boeing 747s. They train their pilots at Rickenbacker ANGB near Columbus and I see the 747s quite often.

That plane could be any USA plane, unless you specifically heard it ID as Air Force 2.

True but there are very few aircraft outfitted for it of the larger B757s that are used, only 8 were built.

VP typically uses 1 of 8 C32 type aircraft, similar to Boeing 757s

POTUS uses exclusively the VC25, military version of the B747 of which 2 are left.

I don't think they Identify as Air force 1 unless the president is actually on board , Is that correct?

Yep durango5550 that is correct!!!!!

POTUS could be in a Cessna 150 piloted by the Civil Air Patrol, and I suppose it would be CAP 1!!!

Actually the VC25 is not a "military version", it is a highly modified aircraft operated by the USAF for the sole purpose of transporting the President, and it has many very, very special and highly classified special modifications to it. They only ever built two VC-25s so it's just not right to say that there are only "two left". There never was a third.

The other 747s operated by the military is the USAF's E-4 airborne command post. There are four of them.

Correct. In fact, when President Nixon flew home his last time as president he left on SAM-27000 as Air Force 1. When Ford was sworn in as President while SAM-27000 was flying over the state of Missouri, the pilot of Air Force 1 radioed the Kansas City ATC Center that his call sign was no longer Air Force 1, but would be SAM 27000 for the remainder of the flight.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_VC-25

"The Boeing VC-25 is a military version of the Boeing 747 airliner, modified for presidential transport and operated by the United States Air Force as Air Force One, the call sign of any U.S. Air Force aircraft carrying the President of the United States."

Hmm, on a side note, one of the two VC-25 Boeing 747-200's is currently in San Antonio at Kelly Field
in front of the Boeing Aerospace Support Center currently undergoing interior cabin upgrades for Trump
A month ago I was driving along SW Military Drive to investigate the Lackland AFB P25 TRS migration
when I spotted that unmistakeable paint scheme. I was too far away to note the tail # 28000 or 29000 ?
Later, a Lockheed-Martin employee came in my work and he confirmed what I had seen over at Boeing.
For security reasons, special background checked employees from Boeing, WA were even specially
brought in with the highly specialized USAF jet to perform the interrior upgrades for the new POTUS 45.
We know it could not have been one of the future Boeing 747-8 planned replacements for the 747-200's.
Well as presidential hopefull Donald Trump would say, wait for it, It will be huge opps I mean "YUGE" ;)

Those "special 757's" fly in and out of Yeager in Charleston all the time. I am told it is training.
When POTUS flies to backwater areas like Huntington or Charleston or Beckley, He will fly in on of the 757's as AF1. It can land at take off from a smaller field. If Hillary is elected, She will still fly a broom.
