Yep, the DOD stopped using century numbers for aircraft in the early 70's and went back to the 1. The F-14, F-15, F-16 and F-18 are all newer than the F-117. The F-14 has already been retired and the F-15 is facing it with the structural problems now showing up.
One of my classmates at the NCO Acadamy worked on the 117 while they were still at Tonapah (read Area 51). He couldn't even really tell us where he was stationed. After the 117 became more or less public, it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.
