Now that we have begun introducing the Air, Rail, HAM, and business type categories to the db, anyone that has info regarding any of these, especially: Air-Tower/TRACON/Unicom, etc.
Rail-Primary Operations Frequencies used in MS.
Business-Utilities in specific counties, and important multi site industies that have ops in certian counties (Pipelines, Gas Companies, Electric Power Ass'n., Phone Companies (landline).
HAM-Main Repeaters especially ones used in SKYWarn, R.A.C.E.S., A.R.E.S. Please verify that your info is correct, and submit it to me , or directly to the db.

Any info on the CSX line running through Hattiesburg area as ro the freq's and chan numbering (only the official numbering if they don't use any particular designation) is appreciated. Also any info on the Tom Bigbee Rail line if its still an operational entity, and any magor lines crossing through MS. CN/IC, and KCS are already in the DB.

The Norfolk Southern Railway has been modifying all of their licenses around the U.S. for the transition from analog to APCO-25 digital mode.
They plan on completely switching over by 2008, if all goes according to their scheduled implementation plan. However, trying to get trains, much less the railroads to run on time is a miracle nowadays.

LOL as to the timing statement. Well as for the APCO-P-25 changes, we have PRO-96's, PRO-2096's, BC296D's, BC796D's and by 2007, lord knows just what we will have.

Where in the DB do you submit this info? I looked and couldn't find anything.

I have some info for here...

Jackson County ARES/Skywarn & RACES is on 145.1100 mHz with a tone od 127.3 hz. This repeater is maintained by the Jackson County ARC. It's located in Gautier, near the intersection of Hwy 90 and Hwy 57.

Harrison County ARES/RACES is on 146.7300 mHz open repeater. This repeater is maintained by the Mississippi Coast ARC (MCARC) And it is located on a tower in north biloxi right off of Vee Street.

I'll also be able to provide you with aeo freqs. for Gulfport Airport
and Keesler.

As far as I know, CSX dosn't have their own line through Hattiesburg.
They use the lines of other Railroads in Hattiesburg. They should use the Road Channel for the line they are using.

OK I used the Mississippi.gov page and linked to the MDOT's rail maps. The main CSX is on the coast, but has a small line that does in fact go to H'burg.

Well, I hate to disagree with you, but I just had a look at the MDOT map and it says that line belongs to Kansas City Southern (KCS) Ralilroad.

Oops.. your right lol. (I just looked again too) Hmm maybe I should not look at that map when its 4 am next time... lol. Anyway,.. the only info thats being submitted is the railcorps in MS, and the freqs they use here. I saw someone else had fixed up a big page with trackage info and all,.. but that can become a magor headache if that changes suddenly lol. I will be submitting smaller lines in the next week as I get confirmation that they are still runnin.

CSX has bought out a few other railroad lines and some maps are still out of date. Updating maps is not a easy task.

As for small lines, Midsouth Railroad was bought by Kansas City Southern. Midsouth used to own the line from Hattiesburg to the Coast.
