I have a large number of aircraft going to and from a bombing range about 45 miles from my work. I would like to listen in on the instructor and student pilots. Any idea what frequencies I would start to try? Aircraft comes from Luke AFB (F-16's, Tornado's??) and Davis Monthan AFB (A-10's, F-16's ) I was told that the conversations can be very interesting between instructor and student. Also Marine Corps aircraft from Yuma MCAS

Try Searching 138.00 through 144.00 in AM mode, a lot of Military Air to Air Comms are in that range.

Typically, if there's an instructor, he's usually in the same plane. After that they might lead a section or something, but they normally are on their own after that. Most AA is between squadron mates when in a section or division. AA's for mil are the hardest to nail down out of everything. 16's usually use VHF for AA, Navy/Marine usually use UHF. Only thing you can do sometimes is just search and hope you stumble onto them. They change often, so a lot of the lists you see floating around are outdated.
