FYI
Saw this on Local Chicago news

Pilots and air traffic controllers are exchanging information in a whole new way with Data Communications (Data Comm). Leveraging equipment already available in many aircraft, they are sending and receiving flight instructions using digital text-based messages. In the years ahead, pilots and controllers will be able to exchange a variety of other instructions, requests, and reports instead of speaking them over the radio.

I know Myself and a lot of members are into Aircraft monitoring We have voice VHF/UHF/HF And https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aircraft_Communications_Addressing_and_Reporting_System

So the question is does anyone know if as Scanner listeners will there be a Program like ACARS So We will be able to also monitor this too

Happy Scanning

PS I do believe this will be a better system because as we all know voice message can get messed up But this will be on a display and read and accepted so Less questions if something does go wrong ….
