AirLife Open's Cheyenne, WY base today!

AirLife's new helicopter/crew base in Cheyenne, WY is starting patient transports today - Wednesday, May 9, 2012 - which also marks the 29th anniversary of our maiden medical transport in 1983!

The new base is at Cheyenne Regional Airport, and the expanded service is in partnership with Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. AirLife has spent the last several months in the Cheyenne and Wyoming communities training and orienting the EMS agencies of the area in how we can best work together for air transports for their patients. Additionally, we have conducted training and orientation with the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center hospital staff so we can best work with them for the care of their communities.

A grand opening event is scheduled for the end of June, which will include the unveiling of the Cheyenne-AirLife helicopter - tail number N775AL.

Pretty soon they are going to need a air traffic controler just to keep all the air ambulances from running into each other in Northers Colorado
