Seems that small airplanes ain;t doing to good round here. Lumberton airport had a crash where everyone walked away.

However in my district we had an ultralight crash both piolit and passenger DOA

FAA will be investigating will give additional info when received

I was actually on the beach on Oak Island when the call went out to the local 1st responders. One thing I noticed was that C-Com had to relay the informaton to both Fire and EMS/Rescue on 2 different channels. I have noticed this alot when listening to Brunswick County. The only time I heard anyone mention anything about switching over was when I think 1306 told someone else to switch to channel 10 and maybe Supply private, I guess this is the same channel. What is the normal switchover channel for units working anything in Brunswick County. 1 more thing is 155.175/186.2 correct for supply private.

yea the channel he was talking about is for supply fd my station to take care of business better not put over the repeater. the input 155.175 is also the output. As i said what is said on that channel is never ever put through the reapeter. Fire and rescue do have their own dispatch channels and even with the new radio system, we will be dispatched on different freqs. we do have a fireground channel for the county. When 1306 was on the radio going to our private channel they were trying to triangulate the position of the plane. which is about 1/4 mile from my house through the woods. too bad i was at work. also since it was so far in the woods, we were scared to take our pierce out there cause it was a bit boggy and there was no need for it. once they clear the wreckage and FAA clears i'll take a picture of the area to show how small the area was. But quite a few stations here have a private channel. we don't tread on eachother's private channels without permission.

You know they won't tell us anything about it. They act like it's a top secret codeword clearance project. So i'm guessing they'll keep the same dispatch channels. If you want you can call ES-1 and he'll just run you around in a circle like he does us
