HP-2: Airport 2 miles away, but never hear anything.

I have a HP-2, got it about a month ago. I hear EMS, Fire, and police from all over the county. But nothing from planes or airport which is 2 miles away. I checked my Favorites file and I do have the correct frequencies in the favorites. Any thoughts?

Do you have the service type “Aircraft” enabled?

Well that helped!! I enabled all service types and now my channel list went from 12 to 1104 when it loads my favorites! I get aircraft now too!

Looks like I have to weed down my favorites as I get a lot of just static now, mainly CB channels.

You’re welcome. I’d turn off a lot of those oddball service types if I was you.

The more you scan - the less you will hear!!
