Jay...not sure if you've been listening to the airport at all lately, but on tower 118.4, they've been telling pilots to contact ground on 125.35 lately.

I think I heard something about "south ground", so maybe they've broken ground control into north and south???

10-4? Air ops generally use "roger" and then only very rarely.

Sorry for the late reply, guys, work has been eating me alive.

Good catch on the new ground freq. I'll assume it's South Ground until I hear otherwise.

If you can find the mil-air pair for that (121.9 is simulcast on 275.8, so 125.35 should be on another mil-air freq too), submit it for update in the DB please.

As for Springbank - that airport is in the Municipal District of Rockyview, so that's in the "Rockyview" section of the DB. I didn't have the mil freqs, though - I'll add them.

I have also heard 125.35 as "north ground" as well. Should note this was after 2200 hrs. so freqs. could change with time of day????

I wonder if "south ground" is only operational during daylight hours when all the FBOs are open and working, and the freq is paired with the old ground freq after hours..

I can tell you for a fact from working at the airport for almost 8 years....that they link 118.4 and the old 121.9 at night. I can't remember exactly what time this would start, but it was around 10ish when the night started getting quiet. We used to have to tow planes around and when listening for company aircraft on tower, we were hearing our own guys calling for permission to move an aircraft.

I see for Calgary International Airport, CYYC, that Ground is listed as 121.9, 125.35 and 275.8 mHz. No other listing for mil-air. These frequencies are effective from 2007 Dec. 20 to 2008 Feb. 14 0901Z. Will have to see if they change after that date. As a side note, I hear that there has been some increase in mics stuck open or people with illegal transmitters, transmitting on air frequencies the past week or so. Why anyone would do this deliberately is beyond comprehession.
