I am going to Wings over Meridan this week at Meridan NAS (KNMM) I was thinking of taking my scanner has anyone ever done this and do they allow you to even bring it on the base.

You will be fine, just dont go all whacker'd out with tactical response band-aid kits. Just bring plenty of water as it isnt cheap there.
dont forget batteries!
CONTRABAND means any thing they feel that is a threat to you to them others or any thing that is ileagell and may cause harmLEH said:With the rules on "prohibited items" I read on the posted site, that means BIG POCKETS.
1. Unauthorized Items: Items you can NOT bring to the Air Show include:
• Coolers
• Backpacks
• Carryall bags
• Large handbags
• Animals/pets
• Bicycles/skateboards
• Kites/balloons
• Contraband
• Weapons, knives, guns
• Camelbaks
• Scooters, "Heelys" and rollerblades
Does anyone know what "contraband" might mean??? I just LOVE that catch all to preclude anything they don't want/like or think is 'inappropriate' (maybe like a scanner). I'd still take it with you as I've seen them at other DOD sponsored air shows since 9/11.
That's why I wear a vest with umpteen pockets. Though a water bottle does push things to their limit.
