Are the frequencies for airshows anywhere in the RR database? Specifically I would like Blue Angles, Thunderbirds, Snowbirds, Golden Knights, etc.

Blue Angles??? LOL

Anyway the airshow season is pretty much over with. We do have a log for both the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds in our wiki - and the link to the Monitoring the Air Show Experience article (in PDF format) from Grove. These should be your primary resources for this...there are a LOT of websites out there that simply don't keep their lists up to date.

Anything in blue and/or underlined both here and on the wiki is a link.

Thanks...

I saw the Wiki and it looks like a good source of information.

My primary source for scanner info is the RR database. Is there a reason the airshow data is not in the database? Maybe it changes too often.

The database is set up for frequencies restricted to specific areas like cities, counties, or states. Frequencies like those used by airshow teams are used nationwide, so your best source will be the forums, scanner groups, or the wiki. Check the database for frequencies used at the individual airports, or for other ops associated with the airshow (ex. local public safety).

I did try to have folks use the wiki to be a collection point for airshow frequencies, but that idea fell through like a lead balloon. Too bad...once a set of frequencies became static (that is, they are used year after year), those could be added to the database.

We do have a few airshows listed, but there were far and away more that weren't documented. A shame, really 73 Mike

OK. Thanks for the input.

It's too bad there is not a nationwide section in the database. This would be a good place to store this type of data.
