True, but there are FOUR new versions (4.0.0 to 4.0.3) and I don't understand, which to flash in my case. ☹

I'm holding off, just because I'm nervous about bricking my HF+ Discovery. I'm going to let the bugs sort themselves out for a little while first.

Looks like original was published on 3/10, then another on the same day. Then another on 3/11 and another today according to the changelog. If it were me which its not, after reading the history, I would hold off.

I rode the train to each stop, if you upgraded to R4.0.0 , and are not going to use your HF+ Discovery legacy/older linux,, you can ride on past to R4.0.3 , which will include R4.0.2 enhancements and you will not have to physically unplug/replug the usb to reset the device.

I just flashed 4.0.3 on W11 and now my Airspy HF+ Discovery has become a "Serial USB-Device" and cannot be used any more.
Like Dave said: I should have waited ... 😭

An idea

Make sure no software is running, open cmd as administrator, cd into the airspy-hf-flash-2024-03-12_4.0.3\airspy-hf-flash folder, push the tab key until you see FLASH.bat then press enter

Thats exactly the flashing procedure. I did it already from 3.0.2 to 3.0.6 and to 3.0.7.
So what is the idea?

Vs just running the FLASH.bat, on groups.io your img looks like regular rights
I see, you think I didn't flash with admin rights.

But I'm sure I used cmd as admin ...
Perhaps the cmd window in my W11 doesn't show the rights as window title ...!?

But thank you for the hint! I'll check and try again.

I wish I had held off on this Firmware update. My computer runs Windows 10 and this "update" turned my HF+ Discovery into a brick. Reading from airspy.us' non-responsive "customer service," I'm very dismayed.

The good is that the Airspy HF+ Discovery is nearly impossible to brick.
If you would describe what you did so far, then hopefully a firmware update will be successful.
