Yes, they will show up.

Look for them at Coast Guard Stations.
or search for them USCG , CG ,
Some might be using ‘US Gov’

Ketchikan, Alaska coast guard base has few on the map.



Coast Guard base in Seattle

Coast Guard Key West, Florida had one ship on the map.

As MtnBiker said, Yes, but....... depending on the Operation that have the capability to use Encryption and/or another [my guess] Frequency for LE Ops. Similar to the various Navies, they turn them on as needed

Zoom in on Sector Boston and you should see 6-7 of them at the Docks

Simple question: Does the Coast Guard use AIS? I have looked on several ship plotting websites that utilize AIS for their data and I have yet to see a Coast Guard ship.

CGC - MarineTraffic Search (ships using CGC

Some will show up with this filter:
On the MarineTraffic iOS app or website
You can use some filter options:
MarineTraffic iOS app: Layers Option> Vessel Option> Ship Type> Tug & Special Craft> Select Search & Rescue (turn off the others)
