Akron FD BAT ?

When the Akron FD is dispatched for a fire, usually you here a Battalion respond.
What trucks or equipment does a BAT consist of ?

a battalion is a battalion chief and is the one in command at a fire scene

Actually, in Akron, it's a Batallion Captain. I know, it's unusual. But, it gets the job done.

Thanks for the responses! The wife asked me about the battalions on fire calls..I got her hooked on listening :lol:
I didn't have a good answer but, as usual, I got it here.

I've got my wife listening now too. When I work midnights she sleeps with it on in the bedroom.

For Akron, standard response for:
Reported structure fire - 2 engines, 1 ladder, 2 battalion captains.
First battalion capt. on scene has Command, second is safety officer.
Working fire adds 1 engine, 1 med unit
Fireground radio traffic is assigned the first due battalion capt (if B-9 is first due, fireground radio traffic is assigned B-9 talk group).
Assigned by CAD system, first to arrive is not always first due.
Gets a little confusing if say, B-4 arrives first , but the CAD has assigned talkgroup as B-9.
