Anyone have a list of Akron's Fire Station locations and what
Battalions is at each one?

Thanks, Bill

That list doesn't show where the 4 Batallion Captains (2, 4, 8, & 9) are located. It also mis labels the tower companies as Engines. I believe they are 5, 13, 14, & possibly others.

I used to live in Akron about 6 years ago and monitored when I lived there. If I remember correctly the Batallion Captions by number were out of that station. Let me see if I can remember where the stations you listed are located. I know Station 8 is at the corner of Kelly Ave. and Archwood Blvd.. Station 2 was off E. Market St near Arlington St. Station 13 is at the corner of Brown St. and Archwood Blvd. Station 5 is near the corner of E. Market St. and S. Canton RD. Station 4 is just south of downtown off Broadway but I don't remember the street. Station 4 is where the HAZMAT truck is kept. I hope that helps!!

Thanks to all that replied!!

I do know FD Station 7 is at Rt. 8 and Tallmadge.

Also, there is a Fire Station on Britain Road just south of the five points
intersection with a practice tower etc. anyone know more about
this station in particular?

I guess the reason I'm asking locations, is it helps if I hear a particular
station called out, I have a better idea where they're at.

Thanks again!!!

Listen to the 7:30 AM radio check every morning...they call out all the companies. "Towers" are used as engines. Don't go as fast as beer trucks. Kids on bikes pass them when they're on a run. Firemen hate them. Will replace them with engines when they're old enough to retire.

Yes, this is the FD for Goodyear company. There used to be ones for Firestone, and others as well, in the past.

Goodyear 301 is their Engine from what I understand. Firestone also used to have one and its radio number was Firestone 300. I still have a roster from the late to middle 80's. of what companies were in service and in what stations.
