I've been hearing traffic on 40016 today that sounds like a police department. They've been running people. Strange.

dave try to get us a address, the only 2 agencies left in jefferson county are fairfield and midfield not on the system.
can confirm its a police department . just heard them but missed the address.

If anyone notices issues with the Baldwin County fire talkgroups not showing up in Broadcastify, please DM me. I decided to experiment with the new nightly release of sdrtrunk which has built-in NXDN decoding and made a little boo boo (I forgot to backup the data files, doh!) and when I went back to the stable version it blitzed my AIRS setup and Broadcastify aliases list. I did have an older backup file from 2 years ago and it should have all the popular fire and EMS channels that are streamed but there's a chance something is missing.

I'll experiment again soon with the new version in the overnight hours when there's less traffic, so there may be more disruptions while I try to figure out some issues I had with the nightly version. I will say that the one time it worked, it worked great, but after that one of my dongles quite showing up as an available tuner. So I have some sleuthing to do.

Does anyone have an idea of what TG 800 might be? Twice now in the last few months I've seen phase 1 activity on this talkgroup. First with 5999xxx radios and today 4340xxx radios with a quick radio test from two different radio Ids. It was on both the Robertsdale and Seminole towers.

The talkgroup is in the same neighborhood as city of Kimberly up in Jefferson County but I don't think it's that. A different 4340xxx radio showed up in the logs a while back registering with the Fort Payne PD dispatch channel, so it's kinda been all over the place.

Very interesting. I, too, did not know about the Broadcastify side of things. Riddle me this, if the radio checks we heard on the Broadcastify feed did not come from TomServo, who is the feed-provider and perhaps with some geographical context might we be better able to identify this Talkgroup?

I don't really understand a lot about how Broadcastify works. If you click on the talkgroup in the list of all known talkgroups, it pulls up more information including "leader node" which I would assume would be whichever user is uploading audio, but none of the AIRS talkgroups I've checked has anything other than "N/A" listed for all their statistics.

It also seems weird how there are some public playlists but I haven't found a way to make any of my own playlists public for others to use. Everyone has to set up their own? In Baldwin County that can be tedious since we have so many fire departments using the system. I tried and failed to get everyone in one big playlist, it has some limit that means I can only do about 2/3rds of the county plus Medstar in one playlist.
