The scanner I have( Grecom PSR-500) didn't seem to be receiving the Ala. County Sheriff. Checked all control channels and ID's and they were ok. Then I was informed that it could be the scanner so I purchased a Uniden BCD 396XT and used ARC-XT Basic to program it. Used the RR Web service to obtain the Frequencies and Control Channels/ID's. Still am not receiving anything from the Ala. Sheriff or anything concerning Viper. Have they added any frequencies/ Control channels? I need some help on this matter. Burlington Police because they are on Guilford are doing fine, just no Viper. All frequencies were checked from RR Database ( Cane & Alta.) and they match. I miss Alamance County!!

When you add the radio system to your scanner, and you press hold, are you able to listen to the analog side of the control channel?

heard125action:

I own a Pro-106, (which is the RadioShack version of the PSR-500) and I can hear Alamance County fine.

What site do you get the best reception on?
Also, as robkermit said, can you hear the analog side of the CC? At all?

Do you get ANY transmissions? If you do, do they digitize? (Sound Scrambled)

Again, I've had my Pro-106 for a year, and it works great!
I use the TGIDs in the DB for Alamance County!

if it used to work, it should work now! It was possible it was your old scanner, but the new one should work fine if the old one did!
