I just noticed two new talkgroups pop up on the Alameda County trunked system. Sheriff Dispatch 1 is on 58256 and is patched to 16016. Sheriff Dispatch 2 is on 58288 and is patched to 16048.

Could this be in preparation for the move to EBRCS? I have never seen my PSR-500 indicate "ptch" on 16016 or 16048 before.

I gave my friend my PRO164 when I bought my 996XT. He called me yesterday asking what happening to the ACSO dispatch. When I turned on my 996XT, I noticed also both were patch. I didn't have to make any changes to my scanner, it just followed through. My friend had to program TG 58256 replacing the TG 16016 to be able to pick it up on his PRO-164. Could it somehow be a digital patch, as to why the PRO-164 didn't follow it to the new TG?

I believe the Pro-164 cannot handle patched talkgroups. I own the Pro-97 and it could never deal with the patched road talkgroups on the BART system. The same was also true for the dispatch talkgroups on the old Oakland system. There is nothing digital about this patch.

I have a RadioShack Pro 106, I don't hear traffic from ACSD anymore.

I think radio traffic on the frequencies I had programmed in my Pro 106 which I downloaded from ReadioReference Webservice stopped about June 25th.

I've checked RRW for new frequencies but they are the same as the frequencies I already have.

Does anyone know what I can do myself to get ACSD radio traffic back or does anyone know when RRW will update the ACSD frequencies?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for the reply but I'm a bit new (okay, not a bit new I'm really new!) to RRW and downloading and uploading radio freq's. Could you tell me where I can find Alameda County Sheriff's EBRCS Trunked Freq's in RRW so I can download them? I have the basics but am lost at this point.

I will be in your debt.

Thanks

Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
RadioShack Pro 106
USB Scanner Programming Cable 20-546 with updated driver
2011 BuTel Software - Software V1.01.002 paid subscription
RadioReference WebService - build 55

I think that covers it.

Thanks

Gary

I'm not familiar with that software, but you should choose California, Alameda County and trunked system "East Bay Regional Communications System."
