I have found some freqs and i was wondering if anyone knows what that are for.

856.9375 857.9375 858.4375 858.9375 859.4275 859.9375 860.4375

FCC data base says they are licensed to city of albany; but all you will hear on them is what sounds like an open squelch. is this ecryption? maybe its detectives or something? or data transfer for the computers the cops have in their cars?

Anyone know? new too this any help with freqs in this area would be appreciated aside from whats already out there on this site and nf2g.

The 5th freq is probably 859.4375.

This is the City Department of General Services system on the Corning Tower. It is a Motorola trunked system, SYSID is CC2F.

I don't know why you get open squelch. You should have a control channel on one of the channels. I think they also run data polls for the fire alarms on that too. It's mostly the sanitation, streets, etc. Public works.

I have not listened to it in a while.

yeah your right 859.4375. program these into your scanner and youll get the fuzz traffic too. and yeah i have heard them talking about picking up trash on one of the freqs a couple times but not often. there is alot more fuzzy traffic on there, non stop.

I put them in my bc396t under mot i think. i get the same sounding traffic with my ic-r2500.
