You should PM MikeOxlong, about this I see that no one has owned your submission yet. he should be able to help.
His PM.
User details for: MikeOxlong on RadioReference

I advised the OP to post here...

He told me in an E-Mail that he sent Mike a PM that went without response...

It was submitted under the category "Oilfield Companies" which it doesn't belong IMO... I don't know if that has anything to do with anything, but thats not really a big deal.

That what I thought too, something did not look right, the freqs. in the submission where not in line with what is there.

Not sure what you mean by that, but the licenses' are held by Cenovus Energy, (I did my homework before I submitted the data) and range from 143.XXXXMhz to 172.XXXXMhz (SCADA is in the 4XX.XXXMhz) and are directly related to the oil and gas exploration and extraction going on in the 'Range. Although it is a military air to ground bombimg range, this is civilian oil/gas activity going on in the 'Range.
I have not been able to nail down uses for any other voice frequencies/repeaters(there are atleast 10 repeaters) being used, the ones that I have submitted I use every day here in the 'Range. I just checked my PM's and it appears that I typed out the PM to Mike but did not send it, my apologies, it was a late night when i typed it out. I will send him a PM right away.

K, next time try contacting one of the Local Database Admin's first.

Generally I defer submissions to the Local's as they have better knowledge of the local area then me and only step in when something falls through the cracks.

This was one of those odd submissions that I would have preferred that a Local Admin handle.

If it's not done by tomorrow, then I'll work it.

Hence my leaving it as well. I was hoping one of the 2 or 3 Alberta-based DB Admin's could work it.

Looking at the log in histories of the Alberta DB Admin's, it doesn't appear that heterodyne and jatwood log in here on any regular basis.

Maybe if you contact dwc, he can check it out , if not Mike said he would work it anyways.

dwc lives in the lower mainland of British Columbia as far as I know.

Around two years ago, my employer "suggested" that I refrain from acting in any official capacity on this site, because I am in a position to know frequencies and other comms information about public safety throughout Alberta (and regardless of how I come about the knowledge, they see my participation on that part of the site as sharing information gained through my employment). However, I don't think they would have any grounds to protest me being consulted on something like this.

I don't have access to see the submission, but if someone would care to either post it or PM me with the info, I can share my opinions on the data. Up to you..

Ok, I have (thanks to you and to another participant emailing me the submission itself).

Now I'm not sure what the concern is about this info. Is it because it's on a military reservation? As K said, the frequencies are used for the purpose of co-ordination of oilfield services operations. It would be akin, IMO, to frequencies used on a road construction site for the purpose of co-ordinating with vehicle traffic. Those frequencies would be tagged as construction operations ("Business" officially), I would think. So I would think that these frequencies in this case should be tagged Oilfield ("Business" again). They're not used for military operation, so they shouldn't be listed as military. Yes, they have military personnel on the frequencies directing the oilfields crews around a military site, but the purpose of the frequencies is to manage the oilfield activity in the area.

If I've missed something, please let me know.

Hey Jay, there are no military personel on frequency, Cenovus has been apointed to control civilian personel operating in the range for ALL oil/gas operations. there are not even MP's at the gates, Group4 has been contracted to control access at the gates. Sentry even does flight-following of oil related aircraft, mostly helicopters, on CH3 and CH5. I have been hearing some helicopters going in and out of the range that are getting clearences from Sentry, although im pretty sure they are also communicating with 4Wing tower at CFB Cold Lake.

How do you find out who the local Database Admin's are? I did a search and found this thread but no list of who's who. I'm looking for the Philadelphia, PA Database Admin
.
