Albq Radio System

Does anyone know if the city handles the radio system or do they have a contractor? I have been listening to there radio shop channels and sounds like they work on more then just the city's edacs system but I could be wrong. One more question does anyone know where there radio admin is. (Not dispatch)

I remember it being somewhere just north of the metro (quite awhile back). There was a news story last year involving a scandal with an investigation at the shop and that story probably lists the current location. I want to say it's right off 4th St but somebody else can chime in and verify.

There is much more to the cities communication structure than just the EDACS system. The techs have a larger responsibility that covers RF for Public Safety, Telecommunications for analog and digital voice services and Network for transport of video, voice and data.

Did not know that. So they do more then just the cities radio system. Are they a contractor or city staff?

They are city staff. There are about 20 of them.
