Albuquerque Fire

I will be visiting Albuquerque and have a Pro 96. Are there any Fire Dept. channels that can be received?

460.575 is used by AFD for dispatching. I dont know of a PL. That freq is very annoying to listen to due to a ton of "chirps" constantly being heard. Unfortunately, that is the only freq used by AFD off the 800mhz trunked system.

The RS and the Uniden digital scanners can only decode an APCO25 signal. ABQ uses an Provoice EDACS system which is not APCO25. So the answer is NO. The only you will be able to hear will be APD dispach.

The only thing you will be able to decode digitaly is Kirtland AFB.

Some of the Bernalillo Co FD Intercoms are showing up "Analog". And not that anyone cares, but the Sunport Maintenance is also on the system in analog mode. The Airport PD is all digital.
