ALE decoding

I would like to decode ALE. My only HF rig is an ICOM PCR-1000. I have downloaded PC-ALE, however, it does NOT support the PCR-1000. Any (helpful) suggestions?

2 things - you didn't say which version you have; you might want to get the newest versions from the HFLink website. In the meantime, it's quite likely the 'GENERIC' setting on the configuration menu will at least get you decoding, if not fully scanning. Be sure to pay close attention to what boxes need to be checked and adjusted as shown on that site.

I'd also jump over to the WUN listserver (the link is on the utility monitoring wiki) and post there. I've no doubt that someone there is using a PCR1000 and PC-ALE. 73s Mike
