SDS100/SDS200: Alert light SDS100

I've searched in the menu, and settings. Just wondering if there is a way to extend the amount of time that the alert light (LED) can stay on when the SDS100 gets a hit on the channel that it is programed to light up on ?
Any help would greatly be appreciated!

I understand that another company has a patent on the light staying on full time.
