Alexander county public safety

Anyone know why there is so many people listening to the Alexander County public safety feed.
I’ve listened to myself, but can’t hear anything particularly interesting going on.

I think the listener count isn't counted correctly. There was a building fire in Alexander County yesterday, but I can't imagine that it would draw over 4,000 listeners 4-5 hours after the incident happened.

Yeah, I got alerted as well so I jumped over and listened for awhile but it just sounded as it always does.

A fake news company called, Fox5Now made a Facebook post saying there was an active shooter at a fire scene. It was completely false and they were called out. They deleted it shortly after being called out.

It also got tagged on Broadcastify in alerts as a shooting involved. I think thats what really got the high listener count.
