Will the 996/325, x36, and SDS scanners ever see an update that decodes OTA Talker Aliases from DMR and P25 systems?

Didn't I just read this is in the new firmware for the SDS150? It would be cool if added to the SDS100. I haven't seen a thread on 100 firmware yet.

I posted this here before posting it in the new firmware thread
I see you're in Allegan County in Michigan. A friend of mine who also so lives in Allegan/Barry County and owns an SDS150, just told me he's unable to get any alias ID's from the Michigan Statewide system. I've read this might be common on the Michigan's system. Maybe check in with others to confirm so you're not disappointed or frustrated if/when it's added to the 100/200 firmware.

I know about the situation with aliases around here; there are really none outside of very few consoles. Other systems are luckier in this aspect. But I like to travel and bring my scanners along, so it would be nice to see aliases that I don't have to program myself on systems that do use this feature. I think it's a really cool thing to see what unit is talking to whom, and being able to see it when I'm in different states would be great!

I've seen talker aliases on Ohio MARCS but it was Motorola company ID's and only a few. Happened to see them in the event log on one of the SDR trunking apps. Out of the 1000's of ID's logged it was only like 4 IDs that had it. If you think about it, probably a bell or whistle that nobody bothers with programming because they got way more to do than aliases. Now if it's the alias programmed in the radio that might be another thing. My radios have aliases from the CPS and I've not looked to see if those aliases made it through. Something I'm curious about but not curious enough to mess with it because of the aforementioned amount of other things to do.
