Hi, I am listen to Alief Community VFD Trunked radio traffic with my Uniden BC346XT TrunkTracker III Scanner.

I have the Clodine tower set up on the scanner correctly. (see attached below) When I manually scroll through the 800Mhz frequencies with my scanner in hold mode, I can hear traffic, INCLUDING Community VFD traffic.

However, when I try to listen to Community VFD using the specific TalkIDs listed in the attachment below, I can't hear any traffic when I know for sure they are currently transmitting. I have tried forever to fix this but am at a lost.

I was thinking maybe it could be the wrong TGIDs listed but I am unsure how to find the correct ones.

Again, when I manually scrolled through the tower frequencies on hold mode, I was able to listen to CVFD when they where transmitting. Is there anything I am doing wrong? Or, is it possible to find the TGID if I find them manually by scrolling through the 800mhz tower frequencies?

I hope I made this clear enough, thanks.

Scan in "search" mode and you will receive all TGs. They may be on a different TG.

Also when you listen manually the TG should be on the display.

Have you set the trunking tables for rebanding?
The Clodine Tower you are referring to, as well as the talkgroups, are on the analog version of the TxWARN system: Texas Wide Area Radio Network (TxWARN) Motorola Trunking System, Metro Houston area, Texas - Scanner Frequencies

As gjhamilton noted, you would need to set the custom tables for rebanding for this specific site. (The tables are the same, just that there are some rebanded sites that do not require custom tables to be used. However, for the Clodine tower, they must be used in order to track the site, and talkgroup traffic, correctly.)

If you are using software, you can easily do this in FreeSCAN, ARC-XT, or ProScan. The table values are listed in the 'rebanding' article linked above. If you are programming by hand, then read through the "Creating Sites" section of the Easier to Read Manual. The table values are listed in that section as well.

If all you're interested in hearing is Community VFD you can also catch them on 453.8375 or 33.52, which rebroadcast mobile and dispatch traffic from the trunk talkgroup. The tac channels are only used rarely, and only for back-channel chit-chat.
