I have a Pro-95 it works great ,I'm thinking about getting another toy ,,Does anybody have any opinions on this scanner,,,Thanks in advance

Are you sure it's the "E" version and not the "T"? Well anyways the "E" version comes with FULL 800Mhz coverage and voice inversion. Both of these features are illegal in the USA, so I'm pretty sure you mean the DJ-2000T. :wink:
I find it a capable scanner. It has a pretty slow scan rate, and the CTCSS decode it slower than molasses. I find it is pretty deaf using SSB. I was listening to a couple of local CB'ers with it on AM, but I almost lost them when they switched to LSB on me. I thought there might something wrong with it, but have discovered others have the same problem. That's pretty well my only gripes about it.
I do like the voice inversion, it has worked flawlessly everytime. The bandscope works ok, but due to it's slow speed it takes forever to do a 40 segment sweep. Oh ya and it MUTES the audio while sweeping. I also love the recorder function, I can't see getting another "FULL COVERAGE" scanner without it. It does have the new 8.33 Khz aviation step as well. It has a frequency counter, and works surprisingly well too.
Just a final thought, the DJ-2000 I think is over priced. It's a couple of years now since I got mine, and it's still selling around $500.00 US. If your going to invest that much in a new toy I would spend an extra $30 or so and get the new ICOM IC-R20. But thats just my opinion.

JFYI, I just picked up an E out of CA from Radio-Export for $630.00 included overnight shipping and paypal payment fee. Radio itself was only $580.00 US.
So far I like it better than my Canadian Model ICOM R3 though I haven;t got into all the bells and whistles yet.
