Alinco: Alinco DJ-MD5XLT

I programmed my MD5XLT using software. I haven't heard anything yet. However, when I push and release the PTT on a known repeater freq the red TX light stays on and wont go off. I have to reboot my radio to normal conditions to get the TX light to go off. Any suggestions??? Thank you in advance.

Is the frequency you are trying to access in the amateur radio bands?

Yes they are. I got them from a local group that posts the freqs in the entire listening area. They keep them updated also.
