Alinco DJ-X11T Any Info please are they any good ???

I just bought this radio & need help with it what will I be able to do with it ??
I wont be hooking it up to a computer anytime soon
will I be able to hear any sideband with the ant... that came with the set ???
it sounds like what Ive read is the radio is hooked up to a computer also will it be ok outside in the cold
when I am out in the woods any info would be good
