Alinco DJ-X11T

I can't find any real reviews of the X11T with all of its good/bad points. I've watched most of the X11 videos on YouTube but would still like to hear from owners.

I'm looking at the X11 or R20 with a focus on HF. The R20 has a leg up due to its recording feature.

Any feedback would be appreciated especially from owners of both of these scanners.

The R20 would be hard to beat. I looked at both radios a few years back when the X11T was still new and I ended up going with the R20. Don't forget about the Kenwood THF6. It won't be around much longer and I doubt anything will replace it. Those are the two radios I always have with me when I'm out in the bush.
The DJ does have loyal fans though.

Someday I should hook an HF antenna up to mine and see what it will do.

Yeah I went with the R20. The recorder function was an important point. Also, from the videos I watched on YouTube, the audio output of the X11 (on HF) seemed rather sketchy at best.

I like some of the newer features of the X11. The price also was very good. If I find a used one I may pick one up to try...

PS. I've seen the Kenwood before but for me, it's just too small. I wanted a bigger screen (another point for the R20!)

Good choice nick, I think you will enjoy it as much as I have. I use the ARC20 for programming and am pleased with it.
