Wether a scanner or not I did not check but... did you know that Uniden, Icom, Standard Horizon (Yaesu/vertex), and Cobra all make mobile and handheld marine radios. Icom and Vertex make aircraft radios. I also believe some of these companies even make business radios. So I wouldn't doubt it if Alinco did/does. It would be Interesting to look into what each and every radio related business does as far as radios in the U.S. or elsewhere, someday....
