Spied this while roaming the web, hadn't heard anything about it but seems its been out for a few months,

Apparently a remodel/update of the DJ-X8/DJ-X30 radio. Does anyone like that radio? they seemed quite good value, I haven't had an Alinco since my DJ-X10, that was a good radio, awesome build quality and easy to use, but the slow scan speed let it down. Wonder if this'll make an appearance in Western markets as maybe DJ-X31?

Another dodgy handheld, 0-1300Mhz analogue only receiver that nobody wants or needs.

Why companies keep producing 0-1300Mhz handheld receivers that don't pick anything up below 30Mhz on their rubber duck antennas or get totally overloaded when you plug a 'real' antenna in, is beyond me.

US$600 for an analogue only receiver!!

Really, who is this stuff supposed to appeal to?
