Alinco DR-635T issue

I bought this week's ago and I seem to be having problems connecting to my local repeaters. According to a net operator, the radio is not sending the 'IN' PL tone (even though I have it programmed, correctly I hope). Monitoring the input frequency of the repeater (using another radio - a baofeng) I can hear my transmission but the repeater doesn't send it out. Am I missing a setting , is my 635T a lemon, is this operator error?
Btw, simplex transmission works OK, only duplex seems to be a problem.
Strangely enough, my baofeng F8HP transmits with the same settings.

Maybe the repeater doesn't transmit back a tone. Your screen shows you have tone squelch on. If the repeater doesn't transmit a tone you won't hear anything because your receiver is looking for a tone. Try it with tone squelch off.

Thanks, it appears that was the case. I had the settings mixed up; also had to turn off tone squelch.
