Alinco Radio cable

i need help with a web site, i read that the cable for the icoms R2 R3 R10's opc-478,
will also work with a dj-196,dj-296,dj-496,i am thinking on getting,
is this true or do i have to buy a new cable as well as the software TIA

the same cable i used for the R2 worked with the VR-120, VR-500, RDx95/x96 radios as well as the DJ_X2, X10

thanks,i had an opc-478 and it did the trick,
i saved myself $30.00 from getting a new ERW-4
