alittle help?

can i get some help on this earlier today i heard a dsp police talking to dispatch, the officer was trying to get some info on something, and said to dispatch contact him on high band, can someone tell me what this would be is it a certain frequency or in a range of frequencys is it anolog or digital. just dont know what he meant. thanks in advance for youre help.

High Band

High Band is a reference to the Command Channel dispatcher. DSP uses P25 800mHz digital communications so you'll need a digital scanner to listen to the Command Channel and or the Data Channel. Hope this helps

just trying to find out what it means when the officer told dispatch to contach on high band what would this be thanks

Just a throw back to the old days when it meant something different. Now it just refers to a different TG.
