Both Uniden and GRE could be building new scanners to receive APCO 25 dual rate phase 2 and ETSI DMR = MOTOTRBO right now if they want to. Texas Instraments low cost DSP innovation is avalable for them to use, right now. : DSP Innovations, Inc.

Maybe, but Phase 2 is a little trickier as there are no systems for them to test against and putting an untestable product on the market is a VERY risky thing to do.

As for MotoTRBO, maybe they are waiting for the market to develop, or maybe they have looked at it already and dismissed it?
