• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Have you checked the data base for Tolland County? That is pretty good and if you are looking for specific towns that are not listed in the database put up a post looking for those.

Use the FCC website and research the TN listings
http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSearch/searchAdvanced.jsp
and put 0005046297 iin the FRN line. Then look through every result and see the freqs and locations. Then repeat that for each town that TN dispatches so you can get the frequencies that the individual departments are licensed to use.

Another reference is the archive search here and on Connscan since it seems that similar info has been requested before. It was also asked on Fordyces site before that shut down.
Save your results for future reference.
